We currently have an opportunity for an Accounting Clerk at our corporate office in Des Plaines, IL.  Responsibilities of the Accounting Clerk include:

• Scheduling, calculating, and creating customer invoices timely and accurately
• Data entry and audit of carrier invoices
• Retrieval, authorization and input of additional charges, issuance of credit memos, and other billing adjustments using AS400, Excel spreadsheets, and JDEdwards
• Perform daily accounts payable close procedures
• Timely and accurate review of JDEdwards voucher batches and invoice submissions
• Respond to inquiries related to customer invoicing and accounts payable activity from internal employees and external customers and carriers

Candidates selected to interview must meet the following minimum requirements for consideration for this position:

• Associates degree preferred, high school diploma required
• Numeric data entry experience
• Attention to detail, conscientiousness and organizational skills a must
• Excellent phone manners and communication skills
• Must be team oriented, able to work independently and cooperatively
• Strong PC skills including Microsoft Excel and Word
• Knowledge of transportation tariffs a plus
