We currently have an opportunity for a Continual Improvement Manager in our corporate office in Des Plaines, IL. Responsibilities of the position are:

• Responsible for organizational continual improvement initiatives and processes
• Leads Kaizen events throughout the network and provides oversight for network-wide implementation of improvements
• Facilitates the identification and prioritization of large scale continual improvement projects, working closely with corporate and field management teams
• Leads multiple large scale, network wide continual improvement projects which may include management of cross functional corporate and operations teams
• Acts as primary trainer for continual improvement support resources
• Oversees corporate and field continual improvement projects by providing mentoring and coaching to specialists as needed
• Measures the on going progress and successes of continual improvement processes and reports to senior management on a regularly defined basis
• Implements key performance metrics and monitors network performance
• Drives the on going communication regarding the status of projects throughout the organization
• Other duties as required

Candidates selected to interview must meet the following minimum requirements for consideration for this position:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering,  Operations Management, or equivalent experience
• 3+ years professional work experience
• Certifications in Lean and/or Six Sigma
• Expert level knowledge of process management and Lean methodologies
• Can-do attitude with a passionate approach to continual improvement
• Excellent business sense, accompanied by strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent listening and translation, written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize daily work load, and work in a fast paced environment
• Strong project management skills (assertive ownership, comprehensive requirement gathering, issue resolution, leadership, expertise, proven results, etc)
• Ability to generate fresh ideas and thought leadership throughout organization
• Ability to communicate with both senior management and hourly employees
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize tasks/projects based on business needs
