DSC Logistics, an integrated logistics and supply chain management company, headquartered in Des Plaines, Illinois, focuses on supply chain capabilities that are based on changing customer needs. We currently have an opportunity for an IBM Websphere eCommerce Coordinator/Developer in our corporate office in Des Plaines, IL.  DSC is implementing IBM’s Websphere technology as a foundation for our e-commerce strategy.  The initial rollout will be in support of a Corporate Intranet using Websphere Portal including integration with Active Directory, DB2, Lotus Notes, Authorizing Server, and Web Content Management.

DSC will be using contract services to do the initial install and development work but we are looking to bring ongoing support and additional development work in house as we gain momentum.  Phase two of this initiative will be to aggregate additional functions for both internal employees and external customers and partners.  This position will work closely with the applications group and various internal departments to coordinate user requests, integrate new functionality into the portal, and manage the environment.

As DSC’s Extranet grows we will expect the selected candidate to grow with the environment and to eventually build additional web applications.

• Associates degree in computer science or related field; Bachelors degree preferred
• At least 3 years experience in Java, J2EE, Websphere Framework Components (HTML/XHTML, Javascript, Struts, Servlet, JSP,EJB, JMS,JNDI,LDAP, JDBC, XML, XSL, XSLT, SAX/DOM, XPath, XQuery, Web Services, WSDL)
• At least 3 years experience in Websphere Portal administration
• Experience in building portlets with Websphere Portal Server and Portlet Factory, Web 2.0 patterns
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
