We currently have an opportunity for an Operations Analyst on our Process Improvement and Training team at our corporate office in Des Plaines, IL.  This position provides the team with critical data and reports needed for operational and continual improvement initiatives.  In this role, the individual will execute the design, programming, testing, and implementation of operational metric reporting.  This individual will also provide analysis of these operational metrics with the goal of identifying improvement opportunities, measuring results, and driving accountability.

Specific responsibilities of the position are to:

• Collect data from various databases including WMS, Red Prairie DLx, SMS, etc.
• Design and code SQL reports from AS/400 database
• Design and develop web-based reporting tools using ASP.NET programming language
• Analyze and interpret data based on projects
• Design reports for the necessary constituencies to improve performance
• Provide formal project status updates to internal customers and managers
• Offer recommendations on key operational metrics and data requirements
• Provide recommendations on the structure of reports and availability to users
• Provide technical analysis and programming to support and develop operational metric reporting tools for use by SCE team that monitor operational performance

Candidates selected to interview must meet the following minimum requirements for consideration for this position:

• 1-3 years experience reporting and performing data analysis on key performance indicators
• Advanced MS Excel and Access skills required
• Strong knowledge of database design and SQL
• Strong knowledge of ASP.NET web application framework
• Experience with C++, Visual Basic, or Crystal Reports a strong plus
• Proven ability to obtain, review, and analyze data and information from multiple sources and create reporting tools for presentation to management
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent listening and translation, written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize daily work load, and work in a fast paced environment
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems, Red Prairie Technology, AS/400 a plus
• Bachelor's degree preferred in Information Systems, Business, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience
