We currently have an opportunity for a Customer Service Representative in our Transportation Center at our corporate office in Des Plaines, IL.  Successful candidates for this role will be detail oriented and able to work in an environment of change and growth.  Responsibilities of the Customer Service Representative include:

• First point of contact for customer problem resolution and troubleshooting
• Schedules, plans and monitors orders through the system
• Enters appointment/ delivery information into DSC system
• Presents order status information to customers
• Monitors and reports delivery exceptions
• Frequently interfaces with customers assisting with the identification and analysis of process improvement issues during customer meetings

Candidates selected to interview must meet the following minimum requirements for consideration for this position:

• 2-3 years prior experience in Customer Service
• Demonstrated experience working with carriers, warehousing, inventory, order fulfillment, and transportation preferred
• Strong communication and negotiation skills –  must be able to appropriately communicate directly with the customer
• Strong computer system experience, including Microsoft Word and Excel
• Must be a flexible team player, able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
