DSC Logistics and StarKist coordinate tuna donation to Puerto Rico

In the immediate aftermath of Hurricane Maria, DSC Logistics and StarKist teams acted to help those in need in Puerto Rico. StarKist donated 131,000 servings of the highest quality tuna to hurricane victims, following a request from Luis Fortuno, the former governor of Puerto Rico, to StarKist CEO Andrew Choe.

DSC assisted with coordinating logistics, and donated order fulfillment, shipment planning and tracking services. The shipment was successfully received and unloaded by National Guard members and distributed in Puerto Rico.

“DSC was pleased to join our customer StarKist in supporting an effort to help hurricane victims,” said Stephanie Reis, DSC’s Senior Director of Key Account Strategy. “Collaborations that make a positive impact are what supply chain leadership is all about.”
