Ann Drake wins Distinguished Alumni Service Award from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management

DSC Logistics CEO Ann Drake has won the 2018 Distinguished Alumni Service Award from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.

“Ann is being recognized for her work on Kellogg’s Global Advisory Board, generous support of the upcoming Global Women’s Summit, establishment of the Drake Scholars, innovative leadership at DSC Logistics, and sustained commitment to strong civic engagement,” said Sally Blount, Dean of the Kellogg School of Management, in announcing the award.

“The Distinguished Alumni Service Award honors alumni who have made significant investments in shaping Kellogg’s strategy, culture and brand to compete in the global marketplace. Recipients have demonstrated in their professional lives how to effectively grow organizations and wisely leverage the power of markets to create lasting value.”

Ann received an MBA from Kellogg in 1984. She says she learned to dream big and think boldly in part because of her time at the school. “Kellogg was transformational and took me to a whole new place,” she said. “The Executive MBA program gave me the tools and the mindset and network to call upon and be called upon to make things happen.”

The first woman to receive the Distinguished Service Award from the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals, Ann founded AWESOME (Achieving Women’s Excellence in Supply Chain Operations, Management, and Education) in 2013 to help women network and excel in the supply chain industry.

Ann serves as a member of the Board of Governors for Chicago’s Metropolitan Planning Council and the Board of Trustees for Chicago’s Museum of Science and Industry, and has served as a member of the Board of Governors for The Committee of 200. She is a member of The Chicago Network and the International Women’s Forum (IWF), and is a charter member of Paradigm for Parity.
