DSC Advisory Board Chairman receives Salzberg Medallion at Syracuse University

Ann Drake, DSC Logistics Advisory Board Chairman and DSC CEO from 1994 to 2018, has received the 2019 Salzberg Medallion for lifetime achievement from The Martin J. Whitman School of Management’s H.H. Franklin Center for Supply Chain Management at Syracuse University.

The award was presented at the Salzberg Memorial Lecture Program, Oct. 17. The annual Salzberg event, established in 1949, is a central component of Whitman School’s Franklin Center, the nation’s first supply chain management program, celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2019.

The Salzberg Medallion is acknowledged as one of the most prestigious awards in the field of transportation and supply chain management because of the caliber of honorees and the program’s rigorous selection process.

The award recognizes Drake for guiding DSC Logistics, now a CJ Logistics company, to become one of the leading supply chain management firms. It also recognizes her involvement in organizations focused on the global supply chain, the nation’s transportation system and the future of women’s leadership. The first woman to receive the Distinguished Service Award from the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP), she founded AWESOME (Achieving Women’s Excellence in Supply Chain Operations, Management, and Education), a community that has grown to include more than 1300 senior supply chain women leaders.

The [logistics center] team has always gone above & beyond in ensuring our ability to service our customers comes first. The team has always far exceeded the expectations of partnership between our companies.
